How do you get a mount in Anime Breaker, and what does it do?

Mounts come from the Trial, and no source shows a guaranteed drop, so treat each run as a roll. Three different bonuses have been reported by three different creators — walk speed, Energy gain and damage — which points to each mount carrying one stat card of its own. No multiplier, drop rate or official mount list has been published, so read the speed and bonus lines on the mount's own card before planning around them.

Anime Breaker mounts: where they drop and what they change

Mounts are Trial drops, not shop items. Unrelated creator sessions agree on that one point and disagree on almost nothing else: three of them describe three different bonuses — walk speed, Energy and damage — which is what you would expect if each mount carries a single stat card of its own. No multiplier, drop rate or mount list has been published by the developer, so every figure on this page is labelled with the session it came from.

The Trial is the only drop source that repeats across coverage

Two unrelated creators describe the same route in different words: one answers the mount question directly in a beginner guide, the other describes entering a time trial specifically to farm one. Treat the Trial as the place to farm and treat each run as a roll.

1

Open the Trial

It is a timed mode in the live hub, so it is only enterable while it is open. Check the countdown before committing a session to it.

2

Run it with your best loadout

The same avatar, weapon and companion setup you would take into a boss. Progress inside the run is what decides how much of the reward pool you reach.

3

Check after the run, not during

Mounts are reported as run drops, so the reward screen and your mount inventory are where the answer is. One recorded session ends with no mount at all.

This order describes the loop the coverage describes. It is not a drop-rate claim, and no attempt count makes a mount certain.

What a mount changes, by reported bonus

Each row is one effect reported by one creator session. Read them as “this kind of mount exists”, not as “all mounts do this”.

Reported bonusWhat it changesWhere you notice itSource
SpeedMovement. Reported as a walk/run speed boost rather than a combat stat.Crossing zones, reaching bosses and getting back to activity portals.SleepyATG, “The Ultimate Anime Breaker Guide” (mounts “boost your walk speed”).
EnergyEnergy gain, which is the resource every Rank is priced in.Rank pushes and any barrier that is waiting on Energy rather than damage.SMG Infinity, Update 0.5 session (“hop into a time trial and finally drop myself the energy mount”).
DamageDamage, on the mount released in the Update 1.5 window.Barrier breaks and boss fights where the account is already close.SMG Infinity, Update 1.5 session (the new mount “gives you damage”).

Row order is not a ranking. Which bonus is better depends on what is currently blocking the account — Energy blocks Ranks, damage blocks barriers, speed blocks nothing but your own patience.

The Update 1.5 mount: Shadow Dragon

The mount that 1.5-era coverage centres on is the Shadow Dragon. One creator's patch walkthrough calls it a brand-new mount that grants damage; another lists it in the same patch alongside the Bone Necklace and the Commandment Totem. Coverage of the earlier Update 1 also names a Shadow Dragon, so the patch it arrived in is disputed between the two sets of videos — the damage effect is the part both describe.

The speed figure, and why it is hedged

The same session reports the Shadow Dragon as the fastest mount in the game at “plus 40”. A single speaker reading a single card is a direction, not a table value, so the number is repeated here with its hedge intact: the speaker himself adds that a paid mount may sit at the same figure.

If your decision depends on that number, read the speed line on the mount's own card next to the one you have equipped and compare the two directly.

What the mount system still does not answer
  • Drop rate or pity. No source states a Trial mount chance, an attempt count or a guarantee. Every run is an unquantified roll.
  • How many mounts exist. Only the ones a creator happened to show are named anywhere in the coverage reviewed here.
  • Whether bonuses are permanent or equipped-only. No session shows the stat line before and after unequipping a mount, so whether the bonus is bound to the mount being active is unconfirmed.
  • Whether you can hold several mounts or swap freely. The inventory panel answers this in one look; nothing in the coverage reviewed does.
  • Whether mount bonuses multiply with gamepass multipliers and potions. The store listings describe their own effects without naming mounts.
  • Whether a Robux mount exists. None of the fifteen store listings mentions one; that is an absence in the listings, not proof that no future pass will add one.

Mount FAQs

Mounts come from the Trial. That is the one point where unrelated creator coverage agrees: a beginner-guide video answers “How do I get a mount? Mounts can be obtained from the trial”, and an Update 0.5 session describes hopping into a time trial to drop one. The Trial is a timed mode, so the practical read is that a mount is a run reward rather than a shop item — repeat the mode until one drops rather than saving for it.

Where these mounts come from

The developer publishes no mount list, and the game's own description does not mention mounts. Every entry on this page is therefore attributed to the creator session that showed or described it — SMG Infinity (Update 0.5 and Update 1.5 sessions), SleepyATG's ultimate guide, and ZmRhabePlays' beginner guide, all recorded between 2026-09-20 and 2026-09-23 — and none of it is a developer value. Where two sessions disagree, both are stated instead of one being picked.
